The companions (r) of the Prophet ﷺ and his family (Ahl al-Bayt) were chosen by Allah to accompany him in his mission and be the pioneers in spreading the message of Islam. Our Prophet ﷺ was generous and just in his praise and there are hundreds of narrations transmitted to us in which we find him praising groups and individuals from them for their virtues and merits. The Hadith scholars collected these narrations and organized them under the chapters of virtues (Manqaib or Fadha’il).
